Solo glitch/ exploit I guess
Edit: Video to help explain: https://youtu.be/b51ixKZeJUA Using the outfit force save* you can use the diamond slots machine to slowly work up money, when you hit your first big jack pot use the force save and continue to hit the machine at full bet - likewise if you run out of chips, do the glitch :: it has made me 4mil in about 20 mins (I continued for another hour but didn’t have much luck) I also started tallying my results for the odds and how often you should expect a decent payout**.
To do this, you want to get a decent amount of chips - about 25-100k does the job and enter the casino, when you get to the slot, change your outfit and this will trigger a save (shown in the bottom right of the screen with an orange circle); wait for this to go and then sit down at the slot. Hit until you lose everything then disconnect your internet (easy to do on PS4, by going to [settings]>[Network]>[connect to internet] turn it off, wait a second then turn it back on) when you load up GTA again, you will be taken to story - from there load into gta online and you will have all the chips you had when you did the outfit change.. Also whenever you win big or have more chips than what you started with, re-do the force save as a kind of checkpoint. {Also set spawn to last location or a penthouse at the casino}
** 2 big wins (3 of a kinds) 66 small wins (getting one or two diamonds) 320 losses (no match or single diamonds) and 0 jackpots (3 triple diamonds) - however I did get a jackpot approx 400-800 spins before I started the tally Therefore (approximately): you get a decent win every 160 spins. Thank you if you read all that lol - I did kinda go on and I hope you go make millions! Edit: once you have about 700k, it may be useful to use this on the horse races by betting on an unlikely horse until you win or lose everything.

When will the DLC drop? Soon. Rockstar usually pushes updates around 3:30AM EST or 9:30AM UTC. Check this helpful map showing all the timezones. Does the DLC cost money, how can I get the DLC? The DLC will be made automatically available through whatever launchestore you have the game on. Those using the Rockstar Launcher can expect to see their games updated first, so be ready for that. What can we expect? Judging by Rockstar's announcements and timelines, this DLC won't be massive. They've confirmed new business battles and yacht missions, probably comparable to the previous client jobs we've gotten with the Terrorbyte. Additionally they've teased some cars, of which we've gotten images of a new supercar, a musclecar and an F-1 car. Some new race modes have been mentioned as well. It's safe to assume that the content will be dripfed in stages, especially the more interesting items might be left for later. Have the Acura NSX and new Toyota Supra been added? Some images of the Toyota Supra and Acura NSX being converted at Benny's have been floating around - these are fake and have been put into circulation by a clickbaity asshole who shall not be named. Are weekly updates on Tuesdays starting now? Probably not. Rockstar always goes a little off their usual schedule with DLC drops and this is probably the same thing. It's hard to say if the sales will already change this Thursday, but I'd recommend y'all reek the benefits of the sales before you regret it. What's going to be on sale next? / When will the next sale be up? / What's going to be in the next DLC? If any Rockstar employees are on this sub, we'll let you know.
We're also hosting a Summer Special DLC Discussion Megathread which will be unlocked once the DLC has dropped to keep discussions related to the release of the DLC and first wave of content in one place. Have fun playing everyone!

Release
As of 5:15 EST, the update has released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
For ways to make money to afford the new DLC content, along with methods to make an empty lobby to do CEO/MC work, check the Mega Guide. Tips
You only need $50,000 to register as a VIP! If you have at least that much, you can register as a VIP for 4 hours and get access to VIP missions (which can be done in an invite only session), giving you a lucrative way to save up.
If you own both a crate warehouse and vehicle warehouse, you could use them together to make more money overtime than you could by using either exclusively. Use your sourcing/exports between crate pickups and sales, and you'll be getting the best of both worlds, gaining from the postive money-making aspects of both.

Gambling
As this is a Casino-centric update, there's plenty of ways to gamble away your hard-grinded money. The gambling in this game centers around a new form of currency, called Chips. These chips are pretty much like real-world gambling chips, with a one-to-one dollar value, except you keep your chips when you leave the casino. Chips are an actual currency in GTA Online, as they can be used to purchase exclusive items from a shop inside the casino, along with being used to bet with when playing the Gambling Games, listed below
Slot Machines: There's plenty of options to choose from, but they all perform the same way. Spend some chips, and let the RNG decide whether or not you earn anything from it.
Blackjack: Casino style blackjack with up to four simultaneous players, all of which play against the dealer. Anyone who beats the dealer individually wins, anyone who the dealer beats individually loses, and if the dealer gets Blackjack (an Ace and 10/face-card), everyone immediately loses. Assuming your initial hand isn't a Blackjack, you have the option of doubling-down, which doubles your initial bet with the caveat of only being able to hit once.
Poker: Three-card poker. You make your bets, check your hand, and similar to Blackjack, each player wins if their hand is better than the dealer's, and the dealer beats whoever has a worse hand than him. While there is no option to double-down, how much you win does depend on how good of a hand you have. The better your hand, the more you win. Also, while you can fold your hand, you lose your initial bet anyway.
Horse Racing: Pretty much standard horse racing bettering. You choose a horse, you put your money down, and if you bet correctly, you get double the amount you bet in return. Otherwise, you just lose the amount you bet.
To gain more chips, there is a counter inside the casino where you can buy them, however you are limited in how many you can buy per day (real-world 24 hours). As standard, you can buy a maximum of 20,000 chips per day, but if you own a penthouse of any tier, you can buy up to 50,000 chips per day. Chips can also be traded in for money, but there does not appear to be a limit on this. No matter how many chips you win from gambling, it appears that you can trade them all in at once for the equivalent dollar value. Lastly, there is the Wheel. It's a roulette wheel that you can only spin once per day, which costs $500 per spin. There are twenty reward slots, and since some rewards are in multiple slots, they have greater chances of being selected. The biggest note about this wheel however is that there is one slot in which you can win a free car! What makes this so significant is that since the car takes a 1/20 slot on the wheel, that means you still have a 5% chance of winning a free high-value vehicle! Compared to most online games, that's pretty much the most generous RNG you can get.

FAQ
Are there any differences between the penthouses For once, yes! Well, technically... they're the same basic property layout, but each option gives you different addon options.
The Cash Pad: The basic Penthouse with no property addons available . You cannot purchase a garage, extra bedroom, lounge, etc. with the Cash Pad. You can, however, purchase penthouse customizations (colour and wall patterns).
The Party Penthouse: Gives you certain of the addon options: the main Penthouse, the Extra Bedroom, the Lounge Area, the Spa, and the Bar and Party Hub. You are locked to these options, no more, no less.
The High Roller: Gives you all of the property addons as standard, and the most expensive penthouse customization options... this means that you cannot choose your own colour and wall patterns with this version.
The "Design Your Own": ...What should be the standard option. It gives you the basic penthouse and allows you to choose which addons and customizations you want, with an extra cost for each one, of course. Just get this one. You can also renovate this option later, allowing you to purchase more addons and change your customizations later.
What do the Penthouse Addons do?
Lounge Area: Allows you to purchase the other Penthouse Addons (except for the Extra Bedroom and Garage, which are the only items addons that can be purchased without a Lounge).
Media Room: You know the cinemas around Los Santos? The ones that play a few 5 minute animated films on repeat? That, but in a Penthouse.
Spa: Gives you access to a hot tub and a Personal Stylist. The Stylist's services are the same as the ones spread around Los Santos (hair, contacts, and make up), but they're all free.
Bar and Party Hub: Allows you to consume drinks that instantly intoxicate your character, along with access to special arcade games that aren't available anywhere else in the game.
Private Dealer: Allows you to play gambling games in your penthouse.
Office: Adds a standard computer, a Gun Locker, and a money vault (don't get excited, it's just aesthetic).
Extra Bedroom: Bedrooms in owned properties in GTA Online are used as spawn points, so why can you pay to have an extra one? Because you can now allow a friend of yours to claim it! The Extra Bedroom allows a friend of yours to use your penthouse as a spawn apparently, though the exact implementation of this is not completely clear.
Garage: Access to the Penthouse's garage bay.
How do I get the armored car?
To recieve the Enus Paragon R (Armoured), you have to complete the Diamond Casino's mission series, which you must own a penthouse to access. Once of the missions are complete, you'll be given the vehicle for free! But remember, it's uninsured and you only get it once, so immediately go into passive mode and take it to the nearest Los Santos Customs to insure it, or else you could lose the vehicle permanently.
Passive Mode
Good news, passive mode has been fixed!
Passive Mode can now no longer be active when using a weaponized vehicle
A Passive Mode cooldown of 2 minutes is now in place for players who have just killed another player
Players now must wait 5 minutes before they can activate Passive Mode again after disabling it
Players now must wait 30 seconds before they can disable Passive Mode after activating it
These changes make is so that grievers can no longer abuse passive mode, or at least no where near as easily. If you start to get the upper-hand on a griefer and destroy whatever death-machine they're using to troll you, or if you confront them in a death-machine of your own, they can't abuse Passive Mode to try to get the upper-hand on you!
Solo Session
Check the Mega Guide for ways to push yourself into a public Online session with no one else in it. Keep in mind that some missions and abilities are unavailable if there's no one else with you though!
Bugs and Glitches
Apparently on PS4 and Xbox One, you must have full size of GTA V available to download the update, so if you have less than ~60GB free, you may have trouble downloading the update. This does not mean that the entire game is re-downloaded, it just means that the update may not download if you don't have that much space available.

61 things rockstar can do to improve red dead online
Pay more attention to Red dead Online. Literally so many people are getting bored of the game and it's going to die soon. Pay more attention to Red dead online. It has a lot more potential then gta online does.
Before a big update comes out Rockstar should come out with a massive bug fixer update/ quality of life update. Then we won't have all those new glitches in the next update.
Private servers. Just accept that animal spawns are only good in lobbies without to many people. Rockstar's dream is for all of us to be together yet animals never spawns and greifer's are out of control. This would benefiet the game a lot.
Add a map expansion. This would be amazing to see more beauty and add a lot of role opportunity's.
Add Mexico. It was amazing and the music is so peaceful. It would be so nostalgic to us OG players. I want to own a cabin in Mexico and drink Tequila.
Fix the disconnect bug. Every time this happens It pisses me the fuck off and I it makes me want to leave. It's embarrassing on rockstars part.
Let us own wagons. I want to give people rides and customize the wagons.
Finish the Jessica LeClerk story. That was pretty good and it makes the game more interesting when there's a campaign. It's amazing and without Jessica and Horley we wouldn't be the cowboys and cowgirls we are today.
Add more stranger missions. This was amazing and very good for roleplay. The missions had a lot more variety and it was cool seeing story mode characters in online. Hell add more Van Der Linde gang members like the rat fucker Micah. Let them walk around the map like I could run into Sean in Thieves Landing.
Give Npc's better loot.
Have Madam Nazzar move her wagon instead of being lazy and just saying she's magic.
Give us more holster options. I hate the off hand holster and I want a holster like Dutch's or something that goes across the chest.
Add random patrol's of gangs in there territories.
Option to skip dialogue. So tired of the same damn conversations.
Add a rancher role. No explanation needed I mean we all want this.
Let us buy properties that we own. Not some hag.
Give the honor system an actual use.
Add a greet and antagonize button. Like give our character voices and we can choose which voices.
Make heists a thing like make an outlaw role.
Bring back duels so we can duel other players.
Maybe make an undead nightmare free roam mode. We aren't going to get SP Dlc but this would be amazing trying to survive in the Apocalypse in the west.
Rockstar editor. I want to make movies.
Improve gold payouts. Nobody likes paying for your micro transactions.
Make a second character slot so I can RP.
Let us sell horses for money.
Give us actual western clothing, not some werid ass outfits.
Make more legendary bounties. I loved doing this, It was so awesome.
Give the moonshine bar income. The bar itself is useless.
Make bar fights an actual thing.
Add hot air balloons. Make them super expensive and useless. Nobody wants an oppressor scenario.
Can I get a war wagon so I can beat the fuck out of greifers.
Add the lawman and outlaw role. Rockstar has an idea for this and we want it so bad.
Add the Trapper. I love his shit.
Add a photography role. So many people love taking pictures in this game.
Add Legendary animals. I loved this and it would also give the Trapper a use. If we complete it perfectly we can make the clothing. Make a cinematic as well.
Make it a one week thing for a certain animal. It would keep people coming back.
Let us hire npcs to combat griefers
Add npcs to our camp. Like a butcher and doctor and ammunition guy.
Bring back the companion app live map.
Add the mysteries from story mode. Blind Man Cassidy, Saint Denis Vampire, Serial Killer and strange man.
Fix the npc glitch that spawns multiple of that same npc. It's immersion breaking.
Let players using the camera be invincible.
Let us have warpaint for our character and horses.
Add a gambler role with a casino boat. Seriously imagine how profitable the casino would be. Look at Gta.
Let us grow haifacial hair.
Do more special game mode like fear of the dark. That was hella fun.
Add Guarma and all of the Guarma content that was cut from SP.
Add Landon Rickets and other gunslingers to online. I loved the gunslingers.
Add gold transports around the map where only 1 or 2 people can get it.
Add Angelo Bronte and Leviticus Cornwall as mission givers.
Do more dynamic events. It was immersive.
Let us tame and sell wild horses.
Add a fisherman role with boats, nets Etc... People loving fishing.
Open the movies and shows in Valentine and Saint Denis. Those were cool and funny.
Add spawn in animations. Waking up in camp, bathing in river or eating.
Add a no hostility zone or a community area.
Add more banditio clothes.
Give a notification when a gun needs to be cleaned.
Let us send each other mail at post offices. Ideally social club
As you may know, gta 5 console edition is actually way different than the pc version (not gameplay wise). Rockstar actually has a system to prevent duplication glitches on pc. Why they didn’t do this on ps4 or xbox? I don’t know. If you somehow duplicate on pc and you try to sell the duplicated car, you will be prompt an error saying something like "Transaction failed because inventory or price data is invalid. Please reboot the game to refresh the game catalog and try again." And if you reboot the game you will lose your duplicated car. So that means any duplication glitches on console do not work on pc. But there is one duplication glitch that works in pc and ONLY PC, and I will show you how to do it REQUIREMENTS: •Have a good enough pc that can run gta 5 at 60 FPS (very important, this is why you cant do it on console) Will be 90% easier if you have above 70fps. •MOC with personal vehicle storage •Oppressor mk2 or a bike in arena •Future shock issi that has a custom plate that sells for AT LEAST 1 mill. Don’t go anything above 1 mill you will just be wasting money. I’ll tell you why later •A garage full with elegys or faggios •Step 1) First what you want to do is pull out your mk2 from your arena, then call in your MOC. Go to the back of the MOC and store your mk2 in the MOC while you are loading keep on hitting F. •Step 2) Once you load you should get back on the vehicle and hit the gas quickly as possible. You should spawn outside with out your mk2. Call in your mk2 through calling personal vehicle in the MOC section in the interaction menu. Now go find the mk2. Note in mind you should not be able to see your vehicle on your radar. •Step 3) Once you are on the mk2 again go back to your arena and store it. Then get into the issi or the car you are going to duplicate and hit the gas. Once you get outside, get out of the car, call the mechanic and request an elegy in your garage that is full. Once you do that order another elegy on the same slot as when you called in the elegy. •Step 4) After that quickly get in your issi and drive into the garage filled with elegys but make sure you get to it before the car delivers. After that put your issi in the car in the same slot as before. Now you have a duplicated car that won’t go away. Whew that was a long one. But that’s probably the only duplication glitch on pc. But how do you sell the cars. To sell your duplicated car just go in the mechanic and sell it after you sell it and you see the money getting added on the top right of your screen quickly disconnect your internet from your pc. After that you will see you will be disconnected from the lobby. Load back on gta online and now you should have the 1 mill. For some reason when you duplicate an issi you could only sell it for 1 mill apparently. You also need 60fps to have a faster load time. Credit: https://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/pc-fast-and-consistent-solo-car-duplication-glitch-after-casino-heist-update-using-ghost-bike.1788524/ My own video: https://youtu.be/UzVOPD1rH7Q
I did kiddions casino glitch where you rig the slot machines and spent about 30 mil, it says that GTA V Is offline and that social club is currently experiencing technical difficulties and online services have been temporarily disabled, or is this an issue that other people have been having?
Online is in the best place it’s been in a long time - Change my mind
Online is in the best place it’s been in a long time - Change my mind Look, I know everyone likes to get their money the clean way and everything is crazy expensive but I’d argue GTA Online is maybe in the best spot I’ve seen it in a long time (post bikers GTA). So let’s do a run down. I think a lot of people sit here and yearn for the good old days when everything was simple, before there were businesses and so much to upkeep. I agree that the upkeep can absolutely wear on you if you push the businesses too hard. And I also loved GTA Online prior to this, but bias aside, businesses gave it the legs it needed to keep going. Heists were great and all but after that was the Ill Gotten Gains to Cunning Stunts stretch where the game really worse itself thin. Businesses breathed life into a game that was without a doubt dying at that point, with burnout at an all time high and it trying to find it’s footing of where to go next. But it also gave griefers a new outlet, promoted them to be bigger dicks than they’d ever been before, and brought out the worst of them all: the hydra griefer. And there was no real counter at that point. You could try to get away long enough to get a jet of your own but your only real option was to either spend time counter killing them til they leave or change sessions and hope there weren’t any in the new one. (Solo session yeah yeah but that’s always a thing so it’s a moot point) Times were simpler, but I wouldn’t say everything was super peachy at that point. Now let’s look at the other major updates that followed: Gunrunning: This was maybe the most hyped update I’ve seen because A) You run guns and B) Everyone thought the death of Jet griefers was imminent. Except none of the vehicles were great hydra counters. A half track, APC, and the anti-aircraft trailer can take down your less intelligent jet griefers, but they’re not reliable enough to discourage it all together. The explosive sniper would eventually contribute to the death of jet griefing but not for a while as it was locked behind Research so it would take a bit for it to become a commonly held weapon. We also got the dreaded Oppressor with this update. The go to for your lazy griefers. It was a great tool for grinding though, and was only super problematic at this point as it lacked solid counters besides light poles. Overall though, would call Gunrunning a good addition to the game but the period that immediately followed it lackluster. It was exciting to have a new business and see all these new toys added to the game but with everything locked behind research it took a while for Gunrunning to really showcase all it had to offer. Lazy griefers also had a new ez mode toy to use and it took a bit for people to adjust. Smugglers Run: Absolute garbage new business added and insane prices for the new planes. It also came out very shortly after Gunrunning. The combined price of these 2 DLCs is insane and with Gunrunning being the only viable new business the opportunity to actually enjoy what Smugglers Run had to offer wasn’t really available in the immediate period afterwards. Looking back, I like a lot of the planes added, but there were some that could’ve used some extra oomph. But that didn’t matter since you couldn’t afford them at that point. We did get easy access to Fort Zancudo though, which is the one prop I’d give to this DLC. But overall it didn’t really add anything but a money sink and for that I don’t think anyone can argue the game was in a great state at this point. Doomsday Heist: Now this is the spot where someone could say that was the peak of GTA Online and I could see their point but throw down a hard disagree. The heists were great, and the replay ability was strong as well with the challenge of the final heist well balanced by the easiness of Bogdan. And Bogdan provided an amazing avenue of money making for those sick of grinding businesses and desiring to buy all of the shiny new toys added in Gunrunning and Smugglers Run. We also got the Deluxo (and the Stromberg but the Stromberg only started to get its time to shine recently as it was heavily slept on for a while). At this point enough people had their explosive snipers to the point where jet griefing was finally becoming a more uncommon occurrence, and the deluxo was a great counter balance/complement to the oppressor thanks to its lower speed/better missiles against the oppressors higher speed/worse missiles. There’s very little to complain about with this update except for... The Orbital Cannon. This thing took forever to get a half decent patch and you couldn’t do anything in a lobby without feeling nervous about the person with 5 X’s in their name and combat gear suddenly teleporting to their facility. Big no. After Hours: I think this one speaks for itself. The Nightclub itself was cool but underwhelming with it’s popularity missions, the warehouse provided a fantastic new source of passive income, and the Oppressor mk2 became the new poster boy for everything bad about GTA Online (which at this point is fair while everyone was scrambling to figure out how to counter it) except at this point we already had futuristic shit like the Deluxo and it’s easily the best vehicle in the game for grinding. Overall a good update but not a great period for online with the infant oppressor mk2 and lingering orbital cannon issue. Arena War: Hot garbage period for the game, I took one of my longer breaks from the game at this point. Remember that Lester Glitch where everyone spun around at the airport for days on end? And remember how everyone thought Rockstar was going to do a money wipe? They didn’t do a money wipe because they didn’t need to! This dlc was so outrageously expensive to the point where your money from that glitch was gone after buying the workshop and a handful of arena vehicles. The game modes can be fun but the payouts and matchmaking are garbage and in the blink of an eye the whole thing became an afterthought. Like with smugglers run the vehicles added are crazy fun but locked behind a big paywall so they couldn’t be fully enjoyed in the period of the game that immediately followed. Arena War is something I’m glad exists now as it added a load of fun vehicles that didn’t dramatically change the landscape of the game like weaponized vehicles of past updates did, but the period following was brutally rough for the game as the new activity was incredibly expensive and lackluster and all the issues from before were still around. Diamond Casino: Not much to say about this one, casino was neat, added some fantastic money glitches, free car every week, cool new vehicles added that weren’t weaponized, and a sweet penthouse. “Oh but the penthouse is so expensive and I have to buy it to get VIP in the casino blah blah blah”. No, the fully upgraded penthouse is but that’s not something I have a problem with as it was all just fluff for people with the money to burn. The cost of the base penthouse is easily recouped by running through the Ms. Baker missions as host and they’re all easy as hell and the whole thing takes like an hour. You also get a free armored Paragon R for the trouble too. So that complaint about the penthouse is a moot point when you’re just too lazy to actually play through the missions the DLC added. Besides the casino there wasn’t a whole lot new to do otherwise though and there was still one particular lingering issue that had been around since Doomsday Heist that wasn’t patched yet. At least not until near the end of this DLC period, when the Orbital Cannon finally received the changes it needed. But that only meant that in the final ~1 month of this DLC period online was in a slightly better place, but we had still gone 2 major updates without a new form of income (at least that didn’t involve gaming the casino), and 3 major updates without an active avenue for making money. Enter Casino Heist: In this DLC we got the arcade, the diamond casino heist, and some nice new non weaponized vehicles to add to our collections. The arcade is an improved source of passive income to the Nightclub (wall safe not the warehouse) as it will bring in $5k a day if you fill the floor with games (you don’t need to buy every game btw, you just buy Monkey’s Paradise for $90k and then in Arcade Management on the interaction menu you can put it in every slot on the floor). But the biggest draws by far are the MCT and the Casino Heist itself. The MCT is an improved version of what you have in your terrorbyte and makes managing businesses soooooo much easier. The Casino Heist itself is by far the best Heist in the game with the 3 different approaches and then sub options within those giving it excellent replay ability. You can also set it up in free roam which is fantastic. It has a great payout on it’s own vs the time it takes to set it up and for those looking for even quicker money it’s an improved Bogdan. In the period following we also got Open Wheel Races and new contact missions which is nothing too special but definitely welcome extra content to have some fun with. With such a large gap since the last time an ez mode griefing vehicle was added as well I think we’ve also reached the point where all of that is as balanced as it can be as everyone’s figured out which vehicles and weapons counter others. And that brings me to my final point - online is as good as it’s been in a long time. The biggest gripe is mostly in regards to how much there is available to buy and how impossible the grind can feel. If you’re in this situation I would highly encourage you to explore finding people to play with (if you’re dead set on legitimate gains) or exploring less honest ways of making money like duping or running b2b Bogdan or casino heist. There’s so much to do in Online that gets lost behind what feels like the endless wall of grinding. I have everything I could ask for and then some for future updates. Running my businesses no longer feels like something I have to do, and it’s actually surprisingly enjoyable/rewarding when it’s not surrounded by stress. More than that, dicking around in different vehicles, having fun with friends and randoms, and helping them out feels so much more enjoyable because I don’t feel like I’m losing time I could be spending grinding. So get that money and live a little. There’s a lot to love about Online right now, and when you’re not tunnel visioned on grinding you’ll realize that there’s a lot of what made OG Online so great alive and well still. It will never be the same, but different doesn’t have to mean worse. Hell at this point I almost wish they’d add some more crazy vehicles to mess around with instead of all standard ones.
61 things Rockstar can do to improve Red dead Online.
Red dead Online is amazing and I love it's world. But the game is full of flaws so I made a list of 61 things Rockstar can do to improve Red dead online. Hopefully the game will be supported on next gen consoles so Rockstar can keep updating the game. Hopefully Rockstar quits fucking around.
MAME 0.196, our March release, is here just in time for Easter, and it’s packed with all the goodness you’ve come to expect. In a very exciting development, Team Caps0ff have extracted the C-chip data for Volfied, Superman, Rainbow Islands, and most importantly, Bonze Adventure. This cleanly fixes some of the most long-standing emulation issues in MAME. The improvements to Sega Model 2 have continued, with Virtua Fighter 2 and Motor Raid now considered working. Other Model 2 games are greatly improved as well. For fans of 8-bit home computers, MAME 0.196 has improved ZX Spectrum family emulation, fixing many graphical glitches. A QuikLoad option has been added to several CP/M-80 machines, allowing .COM files to be loaded directly after the operating system has booted. Emulated IEEE-488 (GPIB) can now be tunnelled over sockets, opening up the possibility to simulate peripherals outside MAME. Interpro progress has continued, and is now at the point where you can boot the rebuild floppy. Other new working arcade games include Big Buck Hunter, an older joystick-controlled version of Ghox, and a rare unprotected version of Opa Opa. With some fixes to our vector maths, War: The Final Assault is working, and Gunpey has been made playable using decompressed sprite data extracted from a working board. New LCD hand-helds include Dennis the Menace, Double Dragon 3, Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, The Addams Family, The Flash, and X-Men - Project X. In an emulation first, MAME 0.196 supports QSound DSP emulation. For now, it’s only enabled for the vgmplay driver by default, and it requires a fairly fast computer to emulate at full speed. It will be enabled by default when system requirements are a bit more modest. The SH-4 recompiler has been enabled by default for Dreamcast-derived systems, giving substantial performance improvements. Of course, there are plenty of other improvements. As always, source and Windows binaries are available from the download page.
